IFLI.OB - Here is the Insider Newsletter!

International Fight League, Inc.
(IFLI.OB)

Here is a quote from the newsletter that I particularly enjoyed:

"It’s like profanity, people. If you use it superfluously, it loses all impact, and then you just end up sounding like a character in a Martin Scorsese film, only without the complexity."

TG,

You seem to have a lot of interest in this stock as it has been mentioned 3 or 4 times on your blog, do you have any portion of your port in it?? and where do you see MMA in competition for the entertainment dollar in comparison with WWE and pro-wrestling in general?? =)

Dear TG,
What's up with the pounding in MPEL today?
Regards,
Bo

Chris,

Have you decided yet as to whether you want to fill my position of unpaid Intern?

:)

Bo,

Thank you for stopping by.

MPEL has taken a beating for the last 5 days. Apparently, Cramer is backing this stock, so I think there must be an increase of short interest.

What is your take?

What, no props? Ms. G. I'm shocked. I brought IFLI to your attention a few weeks ago (remember the quote about "It's the wave of the future!" that you thought was from The Aviator?). The problem with IFLI is mainly with its competition in UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship). UFC is the WWE of MMA and it's up to any and all comers to take share AWAY from them. Now, having contacts in the MMA world, IFLI is regarded as something of a circus act, since its main gimmick is to create TEAMS of MMA fighters. Teams work great in the NFL and other major sports. Mano a mano, octagon-style? My reservations, as echoed in my contacts, says not so much. Still, Gareb Shamus is an enthusiastic promoter of his company, and he has a history of taking nothing and building an empire from it (Wizard Magazine from the 80s and 90s that became THE resource for comic book afficionados). The bottom line to consider is whether or not IFLI is a valid idea and "the wave of the future" (from John Cusack, not Leo DiCaprio) and not the next bomb, a la the now deceased XFL. Just something to consider.

Dear Dr. Jeff,

Here you chastise me? Did you not first comment under the name Jon?

Secondly, why would you even rec a stock, only to come back a while later with a different name, and comment anew in a negative light?

And lastly, could you please be so kind as to tell me what the Dr. stands for?

Thank you.

TG,

That had occurred to me, but I thought it might be too much a conspiracy theory. Cramers been backing the stock since the IPO. Hopefully he'll abandon it soon!

I'm surprised anyone wants to short the thing so close to them opening a lux casino.

I enjoy your blog: pls keep up the good work,

Bo

Bo,

Thank you for your kind compliment! Very nice!

The casino is set to open in April, I believe. I am still long MPEL and imo, everyone needs to just stick to their normal stop losses until then! I wish you good luck!

Whoa. Yikes. Sorry to offend, I did not mean to at all. It was FRIENDLY chastisement at best. First, the name change is due to, well, my own stupidity in not being able to remember the sign-on I had orginally used (it's floating around there in the ether with all those passwords I have to keep getting reset) and having to come up with something new. Secondly, I don't mean to attack IFLI, I'm merely offering it up as a caution. I think MMA is the next big thing now that NASCAR has reached saturation and bull riding has run its course, but I'm not sure that the TEAM thing is going to catch on. Yes, I rec it, and yes, I'm watching it. I just need to see how it's going to work out. Thirdly, the Dr. stands for Doctor, which is what I am.

I apologize for any dander raised.

Dr. Jeff,

Thank you for taking the time out to respond to my questions.

Feel free to make mention of your Tag worries to Jerry or Josh over at IFLI. I am sure they would be interested in hearing your thoughts, especially if it is beneficial to the company. :)

And, so... I now have a Doctor in the house?

;)

A doctor in your house or a bat in your belfry...pick your poison.

My poison is generally a Rum and KO.
