My "Fast Money Recap"!

My dear readers,

I am finally able to put my feet up and relax and thought I would tell you how my visit to the live taping of Fast Money went! oooooo! Very exciting!

Although, in all reality I don't know why I even should! *stamps foot* You all know that I was busy Thursday and Friday attending the show, and was counting on you to keep the market green for me while I was away! But... ohhhh-ho-ho-nooooo! At the end of day Friday, I got an alert from my online Broker that said:



Sheesh! How could you all? waaaaaaa! Sell the market behind my back? I am crushed!

Annnnyway, I have forgiven you for now (lol!) and have decided to tell you about my exciting adventure! Just because I am nice like that. hehe However! You must promise to keep this between you and me! I don't want this to get out as it contains some personal stuff! K? Yes? Good.

O.K. Here goes!

First off, I should remind anyone who is going to a big event not to do anything different to their appearance in the few days preceding it. Many of my readers had been reminding me of late of my age and that I needed to color some of those gray hairs that were popping up, and so the day before the taping, I had my hair dyed. Now, mind you... my hair is normally brown. However, the hairdresser (thanks beauty school dropout!) decided to use an almost black color on me. waaaaaaaa! What to do but had to go with it. I did, however, complain about this to T.G., Jr. who was a bit taken aback at my newly darkened hair. And she so thoughtfully bot me a can of "shiny" stuff to spray on my hair,


so even if it was so very dark, at least it would be shiny. awwwww! Isn't she cute? I love her!

O.K. Where the heck was I?

Oh yes!

So... the day of the taping, Friday, I had to leave my house around 11 to get there on time, as well as meet a reader of my blog. So, off I went - in my sweats - I planned on getting dressed when I arrived, so as not to get my clothes wrinkled during the long drive. :) I also carried along with me my makeup and overnight bag, packed with my pj's, toothbrush, deodorant, etc. just in case. (wink, wink) Hey! A Goddess has to be prepared!

Well! I was just out of the house when I received a phone call from a family member asking me to take him to the hospital emergency room! OMG! Well of course I dashed right over and drove him there ASAP! And I planned on staying there with him to make sure he was O.K. but he shoo'ed me away saying it was "personal" and for me to go on to the show. Well, after strong urgings on his part, I left to attend the show.

Now... I have lived in this area for 30 years. And much to my chagrin, I got completely lost! Thankfully, I was able to phone my good friend Tom, who happened to be going to the show as well, and he guided me to the destination. Hugs and kisses to you! xoxo! However! Although I finally made it to my destination, I was very late!!!

I arrived at the auditorium and needed to quickly change and freshen up. So, in the car, in the parking lot (yes, in the parking lot! lol!) I changed into my clothes as well as put on my stockings. However! The stockings were the wrong size and did not stay up! Holy smokes! Can you believe it? Well, I had to wear them as opposed to nothing because my legs still hadn't healed up from the awful bruising I got from that damn firepit!

I then quickly proceeded to freshen up my makeup and then sprayed on that shiny hair stuff T.G., Jr. bot for me. However, in my hurried state, I sprayed Secret instead...

Yes! Secret! The deodorant! On myah hayah!!! waaaaaaaa! (I told you this story was confidential and just between you and me, riiiiight? Good!)

Well, as you can imagine, instead of making my now-black hair shiny, it dulled it beyond belief! I could do absolutely nothing about it! waaaaa! again!

By this point, I had to make a mad dash for the taping! By the time I got inside and upstairs they had shut the doors and were not allowing anyone in due to them reaching full capacity in the auditorium! How freaking funnnneee is that? Moi! A stock blogger! Can not get in to this taping! HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Well, I was so stressed out at this point and was sitting down in a chair fanning myself with the show's itinerary when someone walked by and asked me if it was hot inside, to which I replied "yes". hehe So, in a short while, the doors were opened to the auditorium to give them some cool air, and I was allowed to get inside to enjoy the taping!

Whew!

And it was a terrific show! How exciting! The lights! Seeing Dylan, Pete, Karen, Guy, and Jeff up there on stage! wooohooo! It was tres cool! And it was so terrific that the show was about technology, as you all know, I adore technology! My! I was in heaven!

I finally met up with my reader during a break and we chatted and sat together for the remainder of the show, which was the Web Extra and some Q and A's after the show.

Well! hehe

During the Q & A session, Dylan asked if anyone had a question and I raised my hand. Yes! hehe I did!

And he came over to me and asked me what my name was... and I said "Trading Goddess" and waved and said "Hi" to everyone on the stage and they all waved back and said Hi! mmmmm! That was a nice feeling!

Well, they had been talking previously about the last Fed rate cut and where to be positioned the night before. And so my question was "I am already long the market. If I think the Fed is going to cut rates at the end of the month, where do I want to be the night before?" Well, I was a bit nervous and messed the question up, but Dylan clarified it for me, the sweetie that he is, and they answered that Citigroup would be a great place to be long the night before the Fed rate cut! I find that interesting given MuckDog's prior post! mmmhmmm! hehe And Dylan shook my hand (I will never wash it again!) and went on to get some more questions from the audience.

Well, after this, there was a little get together with the Fast Money people and some SCHW investors and I managed to attend that. All 5 of them, Karen, Guy, Pete, Jeff, and Dylan were really terrific in answering questions and giving their thoughts and opinions and I was very impressed!

Well, I was with my dear reader and he wanted to leave at this point but I told him we couldn't leave until he had taken a picture of me with all 5 of the Fast Money crew! But, all 5 of the Fast Money crew were so engrossed with the other people asking questions and chatting, that I didn't want to interrupt and thought it would be best to wait it out. My reader decided to stay and wait it out with me. And in the meantime, I thought - what the heck! These damn stockings had to go because they just wouldn't stay up...

as I looked like an idiot trying to pull them up every 5 steps or hold them up while I walked, so off we went to a nearby 7-11 to get some nylons! And wouldn't you know it - fittingly for my luck that night - that particular 7-11 did not sell nylons! HAHAHAHA! So, I asked him for a couple rubber bands and proceeded to tie up my nylons in a knot on the sides. *sigh* (Again - remember this is all between you and me!!!)

Then we went back to the little party, only to find out that it had pretty much ended and everyone was hitting the road! Wait!!! What about my pics! waaaaa! Well, at least I got to talk directly to Jeff Macke briefly before he was shuffled off, and I also was able to give him a quick hug! mmmmmm!

And so, my dear reader and I left and ended up going out for dinner and some more drinks...


and talked about stocks and how he and his girlfriend were going to travel and explore the world! And that was so very interesting and exciting to me! I thank him for that! :)

So, all in all, it was definitely a memorable evening and one I will never forget! Thanks everyone! I really enjoyed myself! And I appreciate the hard work you do on your show as well as the extra time you all put in answering questions and giving opinions so that others, like myself, can learn and become more profitable in the stock market! Now, if you will excuse me, even after a shower yesterday, I think I still have a bit of that Secret deodorant left in my hair and am going to go wash my hair once again. lol!
